“I wanted to reiterate my interest” 可以发给任何公司;“Just checking in” 没有提供新信息;一大段赞美则会把真正的问题埋掉。
- 提醒对方你们在哪里、什么时候有过互动;
- 写出一个真实而具体的细节;
- 把这个细节连接到岗位或下一步;
一个简单公式:C–D–A–N
- Context:
- Detail:
- Action:
- Next step:
We met at the university technology fair on Tuesday (context). Your explanation of how interns join customer discovery sessions was especially useful (detail). I applied to Product Analyst Intern, requisition 4821, this morning (action). Thank you again; I would be glad to provide any additional information (next step).

Please let me know if anything did not come through correctly. Thank you for the opportunity to work through the problem; I look forward to the team's feedback.

Best,

Subject: Thank you — one feedback question
Hi [Name],
Thank you again for the update and for the time the team invested in the process. If your policy and schedule allow, I would value one brief point of feedback: was there an area of evidence or interview performance that would be most useful for me to strengthen for similar roles?
I understand if the team cannot provide individual feedback. I appreciate the consideration either way.
Best,
[Name]
Subject: [Role] offer — questions and decision timeline
Hi [Name],
Thank you again for the offer to join [Company] as [Role]. I am excited about [specific team or work]. Before I make a decision, could we clarify [two or three specific items, such as start date, location, reporting line, or compensation component]?
I also want to confirm that the decision deadline is [date]. If possible, I would appreciate until [reasonable requested date] to review the full offer carefully. I understand if the timeline cannot change.
Best,
[Name]
- “I know you must remember me”:
- “I am the perfect fit”:
- 刚见一面就问 “Can you refer me?”: 一次对话不等于 referral 关系,先完成正式流程。
- 每封邮件都写 “I look forward to your response”: 有些邮件只是感谢,不需要强行制造回复义务。
Edit this follow-up for clarity and warmth. Keep it under 130 words. Preserve the exact company, role, dates, and action. Do not add praise, promises, skills, metrics, referrals, or conversation details. Highlight any sentence that could apply to any recipient, then offer one shorter alternative using only the details I provided.
|---|---|
Contact | Jamie Lee, University Recruiter |
Interaction | Fall Career Fair, Oct. 6 |
Role | Product Analyst Intern, req. 4821 |
Resume v4 |

Career Fair
